Reading4Life is a Malaysia based not-for-profit volunteer staffed organization dedicated to helping orphanages and children's homes in Penang State provide English books and reading support to their children and young adults aged 4-16.

We aim to foster lifetime enjoyment and continual educational growth from this early start supported reading programme.Here in South East Asia there is a further economic bonus in the job market, that comes with proficiency in English.

We hope that this program also helps its recipients and its volunteers to better appreciate their reading time and the literature they have access to.

In December '06 we delivered the first books to Sunshine Home and we plan to add 2 further homes in early 2007. Additionally we aim to build an ongoing reading support volunteer network to provide active reading assistance to these children.

1. Start a collection of nearly new or new books suitable for 4-16 year olds. No religious content please.

2. If you live in Penang or nearby you can contact us about our reading program. Our volunteers go to the children's homes and read to the children, once or twice a month.
